Its so refreshing to know that the power and glory of sport is still rooted firmly in capitalism. Its nice to know that Mike Flynt might not have actually returned to school to fulfill his dream, but to shell a few more of his powerbase portable strength training devices. I invite anyone at 55 and older to go back to school, enroll, take classes, go out for football, endure two-a-days, endure football practice for 2-3 hours a day with 300lb people 25-30 years younger for 12 weeks and then tell me how undeserving you are of praise.
MIke Flynt began selling the powerbase over 6 years ago. He has had a Powerbase web site for a similar amount of time. His friends put a link on their babyboomer site and his friends put the www.mikeflynt.net site together NOT MIKE.
In the many, many, many interviews Mike has done and the many, many, many videos of Mike Flynt on Good Morning America, ESPN.com, Rome is Burning, the Jim Rome Radio Show, Inside Edtion, NBC Nightly News, Fox News Channel and every podunk station that has run a story about Mike, NOT ONCE has MIke mentioned the Powerbase. NOT ONCE. THe press maybe has, but Mike has not. Mike's glory is in God. Mike is playing football at age 59 because of God's good graces, not the Powerbase. Get off it and enjoy the story because Mike Flynt is the real deal.

You know, when someone makes comments like the above without even knowing Mike Flynt, I have to question the writers sanity. What axe does the writer have to grind? Is he someone who tried out for ninth grade football and was so bad the coach sent him home for his own safety? Did the other guys laugh at him in the shower? What causes such negativity in attitude when he does not know Mike? I knew a bit about Mike years ago in school. He was a strong aggressive leader of the football team. Mike has done whatever penance was called for and is now back finishing what he started. Everyone has made mistakes they would like to correct and get a "do-over". This is Mike's "do-over". It is not about making money. If you don't like what he is doing STFU. If you admire him like 99.99% of the people who are following his story, enjoy the ride. (JLC)
