If you want to, you apparently can talk to Larry Holmes for the low low price of $19.95. Hollywood is Calling offers up “celebrity” birthday phone calls and amongst its formidable roster of “C” list celebrities you can get Larry Holmes, Lazer from American Gladiators, Lou Ferrigno, and a few WWE ex-stars like The Ragin’ Cajun , Raven, and Rick Drasin to call you and wish you a live Happy Birthday greeting.
How Jose Canseco, the entire rest of the cast of American Gladiators, Jeff George, Ryan Leaf, Mike Tyson, OJ Simpson, Peyton Manning (does he ever miss out on a money making opportunity?), Oliver McCall, Joe Theisman, or any other disgraced, out of work, or money whoring athlete hasn’t jumped all over this is beyond me. Surely they all have the time to make a little extra cash for whatever stardom (or infamy) they have left.
I even know for a fact that these are well worth the money for the unexpected birthday phone call. Trapper John once hooked me up with an unforgettable and nearly unintelligible birthday phone call from Rerun of What’s Happening! fame…that was one of the greatest and most hilarious birthday surprises I have ever had.
Amazingly, they didn’t even pay me for this bit of minor publicity or for attempting to help them fill their rosters with more athletes. I just really want to one day get Peyton Manning to call up someone and just yell “CUT! THAT! MEAT! Oh and happy birthday”. I’d pay 20 bucks for that.
A lot of Nintendo’s Punch-Out youtubes were on the sports blog-type-sites in the past weeks (Like Deadspin and Mr. Irrelevant with Jamie’s minor obsession with it to name a couple) but this one, I believe, is the champion of Mike Tyson’s Punch Out videos. Apparently Nintendo held a film competition that invited anyone with a camera to make a short film about Nintendo. This video below is “Team Awesome’s” entry. I’m not even going to describe it further, just watch and enjoy. (Watch it all…its quite a trailer).
Watch out India. If Robin Given’s new book is anything to go by, India should hide its actresses in a cave near the Himalayan border. Mike Tyson’s coming to Bollywood. You think they got mad at Richard Gere? Wait until they see how Iron Mike treats women.
Tyson wants to star in Bollywood movies after having a great experience filming a Bollywood music video. The Times of India reports “the energy on the sets of a music video he recently shot for a new comedy got him thinking about trying to do more Bollywood work”.
Iron Mike danced in a music video which will promote the upcoming movie “Fool n’ Final”. Reportedly his style was impetuous and his defense was impregnable.
Firoz Nadiadwala, producer of “Fool n Final” presented Tyson with a script. Tyson said that they “intended to work towards it” and possibly eat some children along the way.
If this video from the Jimmy Kimmel show is anything to go by, Tyson should be a hit.
I just feel for the person who has to let him know that they have to put a midget in his belly so he can hit those high notes during his solo.
