It’s MSG, gentlemen. The gods will not save you.” Apparently that’s the job of James Dolan’s hired goons.

Did you know Carmelo Anthony wanna bump and slump with Kevin Garnett? That’s also what Isiah Thomas called his MSG sexual harassment style but that’s neither here nor there. KG almost found out how the City That Bleeds get down when havoc broke loose at the Garden on Monday night.

The breakout star of Stop Snitchin’ took offense to Garnett mistaking him for a foreign player and things quickly went downhill from there.

‘Bows were thrown, words were said and that was the end of it. Well there was the small matter of Melo waiting for KG at the vistors locker room and following him to the Celtics team bus before being forced to stand down by MSG security, NYPD and Mike Woodson.

Anthony, according to eyewitnesses interviewed by the Daily News, waited for Garnett near the Celtics bus following Boston’s emotionally charged 102-96 victory on Monday night.

A potentially volatile scene was defused by Garden security personnel, five New York City police officers and even Knicks coach Mike Woodson, who rushed to the scene unfolding near the Garden ramp and ordered Anthony to leave peacefully.

A source on the scene claimed that Garnett seemed somewhat surprised and confused by Anthony’s presence and acted as a peacemaker as Celtics security ushered the All-Star forward onto the bus.

…Anthony could be in more trouble since, according to the MSG Network, the All-Star forward initially waited for Garnett outside the Celtics’ locker room immediately after the game ended.

Poor “surprised and confused” KG. One can imagine the thoughts running through his mind as he tried to figure out why the person coming at him was dark skinned and speaking native English instead of a romance or Slavic language.

Doc Rivers made things better when he commented on the hilarity that ensued after the game.

“If it were a playoff I’d tell on him, but since it’s not I’m just going to be quiet.”

Who knew Doc was such a fan of Melo’s film work? He may just rock a “big penny” around his neck when the Knicks visit the Celtics in Boston.

Wait there’s more. Rasheed Wallace apparently played the voice of reason by telling Melo that it wasn’t worth it. What was down is now up cause ball don’t lie.

This clip is a couple years old but it’s new to us. This player didn’t take too kindly to being fouled. If you’re going to do it, you better make sure he stays down. If you don’t, you’re gonna end up in a body bag.

This guy may not have struck first but he struck hard. There’s all kinds of pain in this dojo. Now we know where Evo Morales gets it from.

Ron Artest stopped by Manny Pacquiao’s sparing session the other day and offered up his thoughts on the upcoming Pacquiao/Cotto fight to the LA Times.

Shocker that Artest is a fan of fighting huh? I never would’ve thought that. He’s even gonna try to fit the fight into his busy work schedule.

Artest said he’ll try to attend the fight between a road game Friday at Denver and a Sunday night home game, and elaborated on why pro athletes follow the fight game.

Man, its a good thing his day job doesnt require a lot of, i dunno, rest or practice or anything and he can fit the boxing match in. That Ron Artest, he’s always got his priorities right. I wonder what his UFC plans are?

And You Said Mad Max Wasn’t A Period Piece

Humongous say no free kick!!

Well that settles that. The AFL has settled the argument over whether the Mad Max trilogy can be seen as a series of period pieces. It can.

An on-field dispute over the awarding of a free kick during an Aussie Rules match turned into a massive brawl involving hundreds of people. What’s special about that? That’s every day, right? Police showed up and were scared shartless when they found the brawl involved spears and axes. Who stabbed who in the what now? How the hell do fans roll to games? Aren’t there spear or ax checks at the gates? There were an estimated 500 people in the area when the cops rolled up. Unsurprisingly, no one was arrested but the investigation continues. That’s some good police work, Lou.

The list of Australian people and animals I’m willing to fight keeps getting smaller by the minute. If you go on the YouTubes, you can find video of every native Australian species fighting from koalas to wallabies. Getting punched by one wallaby while the other tries to proper fuck you? No thanks. I’ll pass. Maybe I’d consider a wombat reacharound but that’s it. My last hope was the children in spite of watching Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. So much for that.

An under-16 rugby league grand final ended in a massive brawl. The game between Blacktown City and Lower Mountains ended in chaos when several fights broke out between the teams. The worst left one player with a broken eye socket and nose.

“About 11am (AEST) … the under 16s match in Penrith stadium was almost finished when, after a try was scored, it’s alleged numerous players set upon a member of the opposition,” police said in a statement.

“This resulted in players from both sides involved in various incidents.”

The footage shows one teenager being punched to the ground before he is repeatedly kicked in the head and body, one of his attackers then running to another nearby scuffle to throw more punches.

Footage of the fight can be seen here. Needless to say, severe penalties were handed out. One Blacktown City player was banned from playing rugby for 20 years. His teammate was banned for five years while another is finished for two. Reports have some Blacktown City parents high-fiving their children as they came off the field.

In case you think this is an isolated incident involving Blacktown City, check this:

The brawl is the third violent incident involving teams from the Blacktown City junior rugby league club this season.

In July, two men were charged after an assault in a carpark following an under-12s game.

A Blacktown supporter also allegedly grabbed a 13-year-old player from Katoomba on the neck on the same weekend.

How have no Blacktown players or supporters been sentenced to a booting? Anarchy I tells ya.
