This guy boozes it up while skating and rolling around a frozen lake somewhere in Norway…yeah i said rolling around on the ice. Did I mention that he rolls around in his underwear as well? How about that he dives in the frozen lake in just his underwear?
Certifiably insane. Fire blood. I love it. Steve-O, you’d better step up your game, son.

Your chance to catch a glimpse at the future of the X Games after enough spinal injuries happen. ITS EXTREME WHEELCHAIR! Actually, if its the X Games, they’d probably name it like X-WHEELIE STREET VERT or something impossibly stupid like that. Nevertheless, flipping that heavy ass chair around twice is pretty impressive. Also impressive, this has never been done before. Watch Aaron Fotheringham flip it.
May 10th 2008…a day that will live in infamy as National Xtreme Baseball starts its inagural season. You may remember way back when when we first caught a glimpse of the spectacle that is National Xtreme Baseball, well now it has finally come into it’s own as an official league. Not that it takes a lot to become an official league. Anyway, the first real game (not the exhibition games they’ve been playing for the past year) was Saturday, May 10th, 2008 and it pit the Daytona Stingrays against the Miami Pythons, which are Xtreme team names for sure. Daytona won the contest 12-4 and I’m sure you really cared about that.
We’re gonna try to track down actual video of the game, but if you want, you can see some photos of the game’s events with a snappy soundtrack below. We’re expecting big things for this league (not really) but it sure is nice to reminisce about when sports blogging weird shit was easy because stuff just leaped out at you. Nowadays a man’s gotta actually work for his blogging stories…dammit.
The wonderful thing about Extreme Sports is that you are only limited by your imagination…and these guys are either some of the most creative people you’ve ever met or the dumbest. Its Underwater Ice Hockey. Don’t confuse this with the pansy-ass game played in on the bottom of a pool while hitting a puck with a tiny stick, this is a game of hockey played not on top of a frozen body of water, no that would be too easy, it is played on the ice UNDER the frozen body of water.
In February 2007, Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia even played for the 2007 Underwater Ice Hockey Championship, with Finland beating Austria 7 to 4 for the title of World Champion.
