The Denver Nuggets are really getting into the X-mas spirit this year. So much so that they are rapping their own version of the classic Run D.M.C. Christmas song, “Christmas In Hollis”. You will have to watch this train wreck to believe it. Most surprising about this video is that the Birdman is probably not the worst rapper on the team. Shocking, I know. Enjoy.
If you want to see the original to compare, ask and ye shall receive after the jump.
This here is one interesting video to watch. I guess if you’ve been as persecuted as Allen Iverson has been throughout his high school, college and professional athletic career, you would become a pretty sensitive guy too. If you take as many shots as the Answer has, eventually you have to show a little pain as A.I. did in front of a group of students while discussing his scholarship program.
AI hasn’t exactly tried to endear himself to mainstream (ie: white) America through his career and for that, I guess there is a price and burden to pay. There’s no doubt he has paid steep prices for any of his past transgressions and doesn’t get enough praise for the positive things he has done throughout his life. Of course all of this comes with the territory of being a multi-millionaire all-star NBA player, he chose the life, he has to accept all that comes with it, so sympathy from anyone, including me is a little hard to obtain.
All that being said, he is human and this is quite a glimpse at the “real” Allen Iverson that he so rarely shows to the public after being beaten up by it for so many years. Check it out below.
It took a little bit though. While Carmelo’s son, Kiyan’s, (and his mom Lala from MTV…yowza) birthday party was taking place on March 15th, the cake was being driven to the party by Daniel Young. Unfortunately for Mr. Young, he ran a stop sign in front of a cop and it turned out he was driving with a suspended license. This meant, of course, that he was going to have to go with the officer. But what of the cake??
As the officer placed handcuffs on Young, Young asked, “Can I ask one favor? Can I have someone come and pick up this cake? It is supposed to go to Carmelo Anthony’s kid’s birthday party.”
That is some dedication there. The man is headed to jail but still is thinking of ‘Melo’s kid and his cake. That’s a friend…either that or he watched stop snitchin too many times and knew that Melly Mel is not a man to play around with!
Anyway, Young was sent to the jail, the car was impounded, but the cake was released to a friend of Carmelo and little Kiyan got some cake for his first birthday party. Nothin’ like a feel good story to warm the heart, huh? Dad is great…gettin us some chocolate cake.
