Travis Henry gets 3 years in prison for financing a multi-state drug ring. He also got 5 years probation and 500 hours of rehab. Apparently with the rehab completed adn with good behavior he might be able to get out of jail in as little as 16 months.
Nevertheless, at 30 years old, Travis Henry might as well start filling out the NFL retirement papers now and get that pension going. He’s not gonna be back in the league ever again. Someone’s gotta think of the kids!
Because we’re not above posting this stuff, here is Steve McNair murderer Sahel Kazemi’s DUI arrest that occurred a week before the slaying of the former NFL star. Nothing more to say really, watch it if you’re interested in this wack-job.
Houston Texan’s backup running back Ryan Moats was pulled over by a police officer while speeding to his dying mother-in-law March 17th but because of the actions of that officer, Moats was unable to be by her side when she passed.
Moats was speeding towards the hospital with his wife in tow and at one point even threw his flashers on driving through a red light in an effort to make it to the hospital in time to say his final farewells and that is when he caught the attention of one Dallas police officer who finally pulled him over in the hospital parking lot. Moats’ wife ran into the hospital, disregarding the officer, while Moats himself was pleading to the cop to let him go to his dying mother in law, all while being ignored. He never got to see her before she died.
You should watch the video of the event here on Dallasnews.com, its pretty amazing that the cop didn’t bother to listen to anything that Moats was saying.
At this point, the Dallas police have dropped the ticket that was issued to Moats and apologized, but there is an investigation of the officer pending. Lets hope the guy gets into this situation with one of his own dying relatives. Then maybe he’ll understand that a little sympathy goes a long way with dealing with the people he is sworn to protect and serve…emphasis on serve.
Assistant Police Chief Floyd Simpson said it the best
“When people are in distress, we should come to the rescue,” said Simpson. “We shouldn’t further their distress.”
Colt’s defensive end and special teams star Darrell Reid was arrested on Sunday for disorderly conduct and trespassing because he refused to leave a nightclub’s parking lot. The reason he gave to the arresting officer as to why he thought he didn’t have to leave the parking lot is classic. Reid stated
“I don’t have to because I am a football player with the Indianapolis Colts.”
That is brilliant, its a wonder the cop didn’t arrest him for being a gigantic douche-bag…or maybe he did. In a battle of the douche-bags, cops vs. football players…cops win all the time.
Sometimes, when you gotta go, you just have to go. If there’s a bar to go on and a hundred witnesses, even better! Eric Schnupp, Baylor’s offensive line/tight ends coach, was caught and fined $258 for pissing on a bar in Lawrence, Kansas. Schnupp supposedly thought no one was watching him as the bartenders were forcing everyone out of the bar at closing time.
Bartender Danny Severe said Schnupp had taken several shots of hard liquor, most bought for him by other people.
I mean, when you’re coming off a 58-10 loss to a ranked opponent, I can see why you would go ahead and drink your ass off and end the evening pissing all over the place that got you to that point. I’m sure if he could’ve, he would have pissed all over the 50 yard line of the stadium where that blowout occurred.
Nonetheless, they are 3-4…and have a great shot at losing their next 5 games (Texas, at Kansas st., Texas tech, at Oklahoma, Oklahoma st.) so hopefully this will not be the last time we hear from Mr. Schnupp. Ten bucks this is what he’ll be doing after their inevitable Texas loss.
